Harvest Fest Grand Prix

This Saturday night the Minnesota State Fairgrounds is hosting a $25,000 Grand Prix! If you are unfamiliar with the term “Grand Prix”, it is a jumper competition style of show where they jump big horses over big jumps. It is essentially what you see in the Olympics or WEG (World Equestrian Games). A group of us PLPers went last year and had an absolute blast. So, we wanted to go again this year as a group!

So, what is Harvest Fest? Harvest Fest is a week-long MHJA (Minnesota Hunter Jumper Association) show that has every level of competition from low hunters to the Grand Prix. Last year, we saw young riders, around the age of ten, showing  12″ hunters on their little hunter ponies, which was adorable. There is so much to do while we are there, from walking around the horse barn to shopping at the trailer shops that line the road between the barns and the coliseum.

Please contact Cheri if you would like to go so we can figure out a plan for all of us to meet up.
