Many of you have already heard that our beloved pony Lilly crossed the rainbow bridge on Saturday, April 5. The incredible vets at Stillwater Equine did everything they could to save her, but unfortunately it was her time to go. They preformed a necropsy and determined that Lilly died from complications due to colic.
Lilly has touched the lives of so many riders here at the farm. She was invaluable in therapy and lessons. Many of our current and former students had their very first ride on her, learned to canter or jump for the first time, or went to their first show with her. Lilly was one of those ponies who could just do anything. She was forgiving of beginning riders and exceptional for advanced. Her sweet and accepting nature was perfect for kids who were having their first encounter with a pony.
Lilly leaves a deep void in our hearts, but we are all so thankful to have been blessed with her for so many years. If any of you have any special memories of Lilly, feel free to share them in the comments. We will all miss you Lilly. We love you!
